Kaminee Kate was born to my friends' Karisa & Albert Yoder, and what a beautiful child she is. I like to think she's one of my nieces since her momma is kind of like a sister to me. I can never get enough of her.
Isn't their family just too cute? Love them!!
On March 1st, I once again experienced the joy of being an auntie, and I've discovered that number 14 is just as special as the first one! I got to spend 10 short days with her and then have to wait until she's 3 months old to see her again. I had so much fun taking pictures of her while I was there and she was such a perfect little model. Meet the little princess, Makayla Erin...
Oh how I love them and wish they'd live closer to me...
I love Springtime. The warmer air, the birds singing, the trees and flowers blossoming, all just make me want to thank and praise my Creator.
[the beautiful SPRING came; and when nature resumes it's loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.]
Spring is a sign of hope and a season of new life.
Spring is for new babies, walks in the park, and adventures with friends.
This year I even got to experience the nation's greatest Springtime event, the cherry blossom festival in Washington D.C. Although I may not recommend going on a Saturday during peak season (since over 1 million other people go on that day), it definitely was worth seeing! Walking in a world of pink trees is amazing... our Creator is beyond amazing!
Ever have one of those friends that you knew well when growing up, then your paths go in different directions when you're older, but whenever you see each other again, you can pick right back up and talk for hours? That's Mary and I. She moved to South Carolina and in September she married Richard and I had the privilege of photographing their wedding. And what a gorgeous bride she was!!
It was going to be a perfect day. Warm sunshine, beautiful subjects, so much love and goodness of God. Maybe I was too confident or forgot to focus enough on God that morning, but nonetheless, one of my worst photographer moments happened that morning. Upon arrival, I attached the lens I wanted to shoot with, but discovered something had come loose between the camera and lens and I was unable to take a picture. But neither would it let me take the lens back off because the piece was stuck right there. I desperately started praying and switched cameras with my 2nd shooter so that I could keep on schedule, and she worked on it for 40 minutes. By then she was trying to call camera shops but of course they don't open early. She brought the camera back to me and said she'd given up. I told her to try a little bit longer and again I prayed and suddenly, just like that, it came apart and we were able to fix the problem. Wow. Thank you, God!! And then... the groomsmen arrived and brought with them their golf clubs and lots of great humor and the stress vanished and the rest of the day was amazing! :)
Mary is so creative and the wedding was full of cute details. The beautiful bouquets were done by the talented Gloria Nisly.
I love y'all too! xoxo
A Canadian Mr. meets his Mrs. here in Pennsylvania, and what a fine looking couple they are! I was happy to take their engagement pictures and then Daryl Musser Photography took the wedding pictures. I was supposed to sing at the wedding, but ended up with a nasty head cold/cough and ended up just sitting back and watching the beauty of all of it.
May your love always be warm enough to keep you from freezing up North! ;)
